A new charging facility is now operational just a short drive out of Lakes Entrance.
The Gippsland Climate Change Network is excited to announce the opening of a new electric vehicle (EV) charging station at the Gunaikurnai Land and Waters Aboriginal Corporation (GLaWAC) building in Kalimna West. This latest addition marks another milestone in the region’s ongoing efforts to promote sustainable transport and reducing emissions by ensuring reliable access to convenient charging stations.
The network has been strategically planned and developed by GCCN with the generous support of AGL, whose sponsorship has been instrumental in expanding the charging points as a way to help reduce range anxiety for EV drivers and to encourage the adoption of more electric vehicles in the region.
This site is not only a boon for EV owners but also highlights GLaWAC’s evolving leadership in the new energy space, reflecting a commitment to protecting the environment and fostering a sustainable future for all.
GCCN invites the community to join in celebrating the opening of the new charging facility and encourages residents and visitors alike to test out these facilities. Also a great reason to check out the Bush Café at Kalimna West if you are passing through, grab a coffee or a bite while you top up your batteries.
This network also includes facilities at Lardner Park, Baw Baw Food Hub in Warragul, the Business Enterprise Centre in Churchill, and the Uniting Church in Yarragon.
