It’s been an eventful start to the year for GCCN as Gippsland leads in the clean energy transition. Our electrification project in Morwell progresses, transforming homes for greater efficiency.
Planning for the Gippsland New Energy Conference in September is in full swing, highlighted by our new partnership with the Australian Centre for Offshore Wind at Federation University Gippsland Campus.
We launched the year with the Wellington Sustainability Expo in March, and our Renewable Energy Demonstration Trailer has been active, visiting schools and events. The Power Pops program continues to engage the younger generation through immersive VR experiences. We are hosting the DemocracyCo project, empowering coastal communities in the offshore wind transition.

Additionally, we advocate for a Nuclear-free Gippsland and invite you to support the petition and attend the Community Nuclear Forum on April 28 at the Morwell Italian Australian Club.
As the election approaches, we encourage thoughtful voting for leaders and policies that prioritize environmental sustainability—ensuring a vibrant future for Gippsland.
