Join a series of hands-on workshops designed for Gippsland’s SME community
𝐆𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 🍃 is an innovative program for small and medium-sized businesses in Gippsland keen to move beyond the old “take, make, waste” mindset. Our practical, industry-focused approach helps local enterprises transition to circular systems—where resources are reused, waste is cut, and long-term resilience and profitability are prioritised.
Three Targeted Circular Economy Workshops
Session 1: Hospitality & Tourism 11 November, 10am -1:30pm
This session is packed with insights for cafés, restaurants, pubs, food producers, hotels, motels, B&Bs, caravan parks, tour operators, event organisers, and experience providers. Learn how to:
• Minimise food waste and upcycle surplus produce
• Switch to reusable packaging and sustainable amenities for guests
• Streamline logistics and source goods locally
• Adopt circular practices for events and accommodation
Whether you run a café, manage a motel, or coordinate tours, you’ll walk away with practical ways to cut costs, reduce waste, and stand out as a sustainable leader in Gippsland hospitality.
Session 2: Manufacturing & Agribusiness 12 November, 10am -1:30pm
This workshop is tailor-made for farms, wineries, breweries, food processors, agriculture machinery providers, suppliers, nurseries, seed producers, trades, manufacturers, earthworks, and landscaping businesses. You’ll explore:
• Organic waste reuse and nutrient cycling techniques
• Opportunities to share equipment and infrastructure
• Creative reuse of offcuts and materials through exchanges and logistics
• Real-world case studies and collaborative innovation
If you’re keen to turn waste into valuable resources, share tools, and discover circular solutions for manufacturing and agribusiness, this is the session for you.
Session 3: Retail & Professional Services 13 November, 10am -1:30pm
Retailers (clothing, homewares, garden centres, pharmacies, toy shops, hardware), consultants, IT providers, real estate agencies, marketing firms, and co-working spaces are invited to explore:
• Reducing packaging and launching repair or take-back schemes
• Reusing displays, fixtures, and signage
• Embracing digital circularity and device reuse
• Collaborative opportunities across service sectors
From reducing packaging waste to innovating with digital circularity, this session offers actionable strategies for retailers and professional service providers wanting to future-proof their businesses.
