Call for thoughts, opinions and formal submissions!
The Gippsland Coastal Citizens Assembly will soon discuss how a future with offshore wind energy can benefit us – our families, our communities and our coastline. This assembly aims to support the development of a united voice for advocacy to government and industry.
Gippsland coastal communities have lived with the old fossil fuel offshore industry that is in decline and its onshore infrastructure and are now on the cusp of a once in a lifetime transition to a new renewable offshore wind energy industry.
The wider community is invited to share their thoughts and opinions around what they see as impacts and or opportunities that may arise from this transformation. Gippsland New Energy
You can share your voice by:
- Provide a submission on behalf of yourself, your organisation or your community group via a short form.
- Quickly share your thoughts and/or comment on the views of other people via the ‘Your Priorities’ online platform. To help maximize your impact read over the guidelines and a summary of tips.
- Register to observe the Assembly in action, on either Saturday 28the or Sunday 29th June, Port Albert.
All submissions and comments will be publicly available and provided to Assembly participants for their consideration, as they weigh up and explore the many diverse views and opinions around this topic for the region.
Deadline for submissions, comments and observers closes on the 17th June 2025.
